corny in what way?...U didnt explain yourself. If BIG didnt use his own pic then the conclusion is that he didnt bite Nas. U should tell the story how it was when it happened......That baby was a mystery......No one knew if it was Biggie or his daughter or some random baby. The impression was that it was Biggie as a kid and that they were using a pic that was close as possible to the Bad Boy logo.

it's corny because when Nas did it it was original and authentic. It wasn't just Nas as a kid. It was him at 9 years old with a look of a disillusioned adult. And that look perfectly summerized the all album. With Nas who was barely 20 but talking like a 40 year old vet. And you had the contrast between the child and the projects
Bad Boy not only took the all concept, but since they didn't have a picture that could fit, they decided to create one artificialy. That's like run a casting to imitate Da Vinci's La Joconde and try to find a girl that could reproduce the mysterious smile. No matter how hard you try, you can match the original because all the spontaneity is gone

going by your logic one could say that Nas bit U2's album "War" for the concept of the Illmatic album cover.

Rae and Ghost were just hating. "Ready To Die" and "ILLmatic" covers look nothing alike. Also a lot of people don't know this but NaS actually bite the "ILLmatic" cover from a jazz artist:

He also used covers from Slick Rick and Too Short:

"Ready To Die" cover fit the theme of the album as it starts with Biggie's birth and ends with his Death. The Afro on the baby was symbolic of the time Biggie was born in the early 70's as everyone that was Black was still rocking Afros. NaS cover is symbolic of his upbringing in Queens. But Rea and Ghost were just unhappy Big was on top back then. Even Meth said those were the only two hating on Biggie in Wu Tang. Both admit they were wrong for "Shark Biters" especially Rae who said he regrets that song now and that it was about competition. NaS also took from the "Casino" poster:

And lets not forget how he took from Di Vinci's Paint Book:

Biggie didn't copy anything. "Ready To Die" album cover made perfect sense. "ILLmatic" album cover worked for NaS. Ghost and Rea are why people are still on this biting covers mess. NaS has taken covers obviously and the "ILLmatic" cover isn't original. NaS father was a Jazz artist, I'm sure he seen that record growing up.

no because one, the child wasn't one of the band member, and two, that ws never been made in rap before. But even if you can make a parralel, you clearly don't see an obvious atempt to copy u2, in biggie's case, you do

How was "Ready To Die" a copy? It had a baby with a white backdrop in Dipers. NaS was a 8-9 year old boy with his projects superimposed. Both covers fit the theme of their albums. Nobody said anything about "Ready To Die" cover until Rae and Ghost said something a whole year after it was released. Also as I said, "ILLmatic" is not an "Original" cover there were other covers before it just like it with the superimposed image over a town/community backdrop. Also good point for whoever brought up the "War" album cover from U2. NaS wasn't the 1st to use a young boy on the cover. And Biggie wasn't the 1st to use a Baby on his. The whole thing is dumb:

I see what you mean guy BUT mind you Nas and Biggie dropped their albums the same year, they were pretty much rivals for the KONY shyt and they are in the same genra of music. It would be like The Beatles are dropping an album cover using something from their past and the same year The Rolling Stones are dropping an album with a cover on the same theme, only this time they are casting people because they can't do it like The beatles. I don't condamn the final result, just the all spirit of it

And for Nas covers

the firm and the street's disciple it's just obvious cultural references, that's nothing alike
