Fam.. A.I. Ray Allen.. that's all ima sayOutside of 1996, the Big East was dead in the 90s. UConn began its ascension to blue blood status but the other powers started falling off.
The 80s was its peak, specifically 83-89.
@KBadd talked about Ed Cooley being damn near a done deal on the podcast last week. Pitino to St. John’s is fascinating as fukk.
John Wallace, Kerry Kittles, I know. That was 1996.Fam.. A.I. Ray Allen.. that's all ima say
Providence fans are furious
I don't watch college basketball like that. I'm a St John's grad. What does this mean for us as a basketball program, for any of you college basketball fans.
Wasn't he in a scandal where he let the players get strippers or something like that back in the day? I know his name so he must be a decent coach. I'm hoping we can restore the feeling. When I was there, we beat Bobby Knight and won the NIT and I was able to run on the court at MSG lol. That was what? 15-18 years ago?
Donyell Marshall was an All-American and a top 5 pickJohn Wallace, Kerry Kittles, I know. That was 1996.
Before that, I don’t think you were hyping up Donyiel Marshall and Terry Dehere with current UConn coach Danny Hurley.
It was a dead conference except for 95-96 season, when it was at the 1980s point.
UConn had great teams. St Johns had that awesome ‘99 team with Eric Barkley, Bootsy Thornton and Ron Artest, and Lawrence Moten was beastly in the early 90s, but aside from them it was dead.
The Big East only had three teams make the final four in the 1990s.
Edit: my bad, only two teams.
Rick bout to get shyt crackin up there, I’m sure of it.
