IMO he only gave it 5 because of the impossibly high standard created by the 6 and 6.25 star matches...and because he's friends with both Jericho and Omega.

Jericho and Omega was a good match but it was flawed...the blatant blade handoff by the ref, loud spotcalling, Jericho needing a ton of time to rest and catch his breath in between sequences, It being too long etc.

IMO Suzuki and Goto, and the main event were better but hey we already knew Dave would overrate this match based on who was involved.

I put it below 5 with the no selling of finishes from both guys at the end when they're supposed to be so beat up/tired, but I can see someone giving it 5.

That was a top 5 Jericho solo match to me, just brutal as hell and a struggle, great heeling, good nearfalls.

Sounds like the same way I see Angle vs Michaels from WM 21 except that was nowhere near 5 stars.

I skipped the midcard matches, so I’m not sure how good the Jr 4 way was, but I don’t believe for a second a match involving Marty Scurll is nearly 5 stars
