It would be contrived to set up a battle now, but fukk if I wouldn't enjoy listening to it.

And BDK's got this.

Breh was smart enough to move to an economically feasible city to raise his family. he has a band and still tours so i don't think he's broke or hard up for money. and if he was hova would help him get back on his feet.

Interview: Big Daddy Kane Talks Moving to North Carolina, Visiting Brooklyn Now, and Jay-Z's Success
By Julian Kimble
Jan 16, 2013

It's been a long road for Big Daddy Kane, but he's not ready to throw in the towel yet. Regarded as one of modern hip-hop's forefathers, the legendary Brooklyn MC first emerged as part of the Juice Crew before dropping his brilliant debut album, Long Live the Kane, in 1988. His follow up, 1989's It's a Big Daddy Thing, produced classics like "Smooth Operator," "I Get the Job Done" and "Warm It Up, Kane."

During the '90s, he put the spotlight on another Brooklyn MC by the name of Jay-Z, bringing him out at shows and featuring him on his posse cut, "Show & Prove." Back in '89, Kane was what Jay-Z is now. After moving to Raleigh, NC, and focusing on family life, Kane fell back, but never strays too far from the mic.

Very ironic statement considering that between the ages of 20 and 25 is when MOST artists are at their best...

There are exceptions...But look through hip hop history...The classics were made by a bunch of 20 year olds...Not 50 year olds...:mjlol:

'Hip hop history" isn't long enough to form an opinion.

The idea that the best art you create, you create between 20 and 25, is idiotic.

Music is not a sport. It is an art.

Maybe if there wasn't a weird taboo on aging rappers - caused by people such as yourself - we would be seeing "classic" albums from 40+ rappers, just as 40+ people have created great works of art for thousands of years.

The creative peak of artists is NOT "20 to 25." It's closer to 40. Google it. There have been several studies.

Let's not even get into the fact that today's rappers 18-25 suck super hard compared to 90's between 18 and 25. Nobody 18 today is writing anything at the level of 18-year-old rappers in the 90's.

Kane's a cool cat.

He seems like he didn't wanna be bothered with the interview though.
