It's crazy. It always starts with I'm just asking questions and then when given information it devolves into something more akin to really looking for affirmation on their own bias.

Getting a tax return doesn't mean you didn't pay taxes. It just means you were overtaxed and gave the government interest free loans for a year. But you still have to pay taxes, and that's aside from the revenue lost on your overpayments.


And despite the language used by The Treasury Department to spin this in a favorable light and clarify the proposal, I'm amazed (not really though ) people here in HL are willing to give one of the staunchest supporters of the Bankruptcy Bill the benefit of the doubt when he proposes new legislation claiming to be aimed at taxing the wealthy and preventing "fraud".
