Here's a quick recipe for brownies:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter
- 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup (90g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (175g) chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
3. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly.
5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Be careful not to overbake.
6. Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
