I listen to Dolly Parton and Randy Travis. Get those daps
That's that mainstream accessible country. You ain't a real head unless you was into that underground country you'd only hear on college radio and the Stretch and Billy Bobbitto Country Show. Up and coming country artist would go there to freestyle

Oh well. You ask Post Malone or Justin Bieber they will have no idea who Masta Ace, Pharaoh Monche, or Gangstarr is, so I could give two fukks

Above the fray.
Especially if people aren't going to bother calling up country music stations and acting for more black artist outside of Beyonce to be played.
Beyonce is one of the greatest modern performers, but the rollout and Beyhive involvement is contrived. C&W stations & outlets get flooded for requests/demands from non listeners to play her music, they resist and their resistance is controversy to promote her project.

Since the success of Old Town Road there's been a slow uptick and more black ppl trying to break into country

But we'll see what happens

The newfound exposure will definitely help with that

There have, but as long as our people aren’t giving them the support and calling in to have their songs played on the radio then it’s going to be hard to them to breakthrough.
