Best Buy looking at their CD rack like
What I can't understand is how nobody gave a fukk/or liked her last album, but they are flocking to buy this one just because she released it without promotion, most without hearing any song from it first. People are caught up in the hype as opposed to the actual quality of the tracks. It shows artists know their fans are some damn following fools.
She's been touring and back in the media nonstop this year, her fans, and industry people, wanted an album from her. Her last album was lead by the worst song on it, was too r&b, and she bounced a few months after it dropped to give birth/be a mom. A lot of people rebound after poor sales (plus 4 was her most mature album up to that point, it was great, it just wasnt crossover club friendly)What I can't understand is how nobody gave a fukk/or liked her last album, but they are flocking to buy this one just because she released it without promotion, most without hearing any song from it first. No one gave a fukk about "4"? It sold 3 million worldwide. How didn't anyone not like it?
People didn't buy it blind. There were 1:30 second snippets. Obviously people liked the previews and copped it. That's exactly what I did.
ITunes has been the biggest music retailer for a while nowIts bigger than that whoadie
Its the fact that Bey was able to generate over 400,000 sales DIGITALLY , this may be a complete game changer. Once the industry realizes you are able to get fans to cop shyt from the comfort of their homes instantly & digitally simply out of brand loyalty. They are gonna do away with the dated CD structure. Which is gonna open the flood gates of the business model of making and selling music.
Whole gears are gonna be shifted. Imagine what that means for a young local artist who got a loyal fanbase who is down to spend 10 on his new mixtape. If you jus put ya shyt up on itunes and get 1,000 people to spend 10.
Nipsey Hussle struck gold by not signing to a major when he had the opportunity, he jus may have found the crack in the matrix

This idea that a lot of you have about Promotion is so off base.So we supposed to believe she is gonna outsell eminem and drake with zero promo?!?
Numbers are super duck tales. Her last album didn't do shyt.
It was a critically acclaimed failure in regards to Beyonce, and sold less than her previous albums. An album selling doesn't equate to people liking it.
This is bullshyt. It was a critically acclaimed failure in regards to Beyonce, and sold less than her previous albums. An album selling doesn't equate to people liking it.

beyonce just has a loyal fan base that will buy anything she puts out.
Other artist would have flopped doing what she did.
It was her highest rated album ever prior to this one.
This is bullshyt.
4 is her best album and better than this one.
4 leaked a month before the release
Exactly. Her album wasn't really ground breaking, like her entire body of work, by any stretch of the imagination even though I liked it. That's what a solid fanbase and hype does though. Beyonce is a machine, it's cool to like her, it's a running joke where her fans even act like she's some type of deity (including people that don't even fukk with her like that but wanna seem cool or funny). She can't touch any of the women who laid the framework and foundation for her, she's just seen as this icon because let's be honest, her contemporaries are Rihanna, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Britney Spears etc.
Yeh I know you don't know. Cause I just told you.
