Her women/lbgtq base is her most active and supportive base so I don’t knock her for appealing to them at all.

I do prefer the more vulnerable, seductive, soft Beyoncé that we got on her debut and 4.

I loved how triumphant she was on B’Day but even then it wasnt as raunchy or vulgar.

To each his own

It's so funny seeing the love that 4 gets today because ppl shytted on that album when it was released. Said it was boring because it had ballads on it while a lot of the bigger R&B singers were heavy into the EDM sound then.

Now ppl(not speaking on you, just in general)want her to go back to that.

I had to give it a few more spins. Solid 7/10. The more heavier house/ball sounding songs are ok but it left a lot of wasted space which lowered the quality of the song for me. Now the profanity wasn't an issue after I skimmed thru the first time but after giving it a full listen, it's overdone. I wouldn't say it's forced, anyone saying that hasn't paid attention the past decade, but it's too much. One thing I'll say is while I wasn't feeling a few tracks, she'd do something that pulled me back in or I really liked a portion of the production.

COZY to BREAK MY SOUL is really good. Then ending with AMERICA HAS A PROBLEM, PURE/HONEY, and SUMMER RENAISSANCE :damn:
You can tell Michael, Prince, Rick James, James Brown, Donna Summers, etc are heavy influences. She channeled them.

Some of y'all tripping talking about she's not singing on here. Technically killing it throughout the album especially on "PLASTIC OFF THE SOFA" :banderas:
