It's all opinion and you could very well be right....but WE dont know what his logic was.

You can't say for a fact Tiger was ashamed of being viewed as black, as much as maybe he just wanted to be viewed as mixed, or Cablanasian or whatever he called himself.

Again, why should he accept being SOLELY black, and then just ignore his mama being Asian? This is what I dont understand about y'alls logic in here.

From what I remember tiger didn't ever seem to be ecstatic about being black breh. I'm thinking hard and I don't remember. If he had a choice of what race to eliminate from his genes I would guess he would choose the black part.

Please give me any examples to prove me wrong. Really, I wanna be wrong.:to:

You don't have to be dark skinned to be black. Stop moving the goal posts to what is "black" like that. She didn't say she wasn't black. She said she was medium brown which is still black. She even said she was part African. Doesn't get much "blacker" than that. It's not like she denounced her blackness. She said she was mixed with African and Creole. No denouncing of her blackness.

Like I said NO consistency. All emotional responses.

They seem to keep skipping over this.

Just cuz I don't agree with what their perception of color is, I'm a self hater.

I even said I'm African.

But somehow, I hate being black.

If you notice these pseudo-pro-black posters have a very thin playbook. It consists of ONE play. "Say the opponent in the debate hates everything black. They hate black cats, tires, sweaters, balloons, ect."

Even though you said you were African they will ignore it because the only leg their "stance" has is saying that you hate being black. That's the only play they have. They don't use logic. Just emotions, rhetoric and "feel good phrases."

You don't even know what you're talking about. I never said she denied being black or that only dark skin people are black. I said she has an issue with being called dark skin. You know how many black people that are dark skin will say they are not dark because they are not the same complexion as akon

pseudo-pro-black posters
You sound like the third or second person I have heard say something like this in here. The others were non black people upset about me saying non blacks shouldn't say "nikka".

Funny thing is, w/ people in the entertainment industry if they seem to lean toward the white side, then that's exactly what they are doing. Nikki, beyonce, Halle, etc.

Black people with blonde hair and lighter makeup than their skin is a clear indicator to me. Has nothing to do with being a black panther breh.

Let's make this reaaaaalll simple....

Do I a black man, view Obama as black? YES

Does a white man from rural Alabama view Obama as black? YES

Therefore, does this mean Obama is black? NO

What does my view, or anyone elses view have to do with the reality that he is half-white and half-black? Nothing at all.

Is he, or any other mixed person, obligated to turn his/her back on one side of their race or the other, and "pick one" to live as? No.
And you'd have to be an idiot of the highest order if you think they need to.

Which leaves one big question. What does it matter what "skin tone" someone thinks they are? How does it affect you? How does it affect anyone? It's all perception, perspective an opinion. ENTIRELY subjective. It's not like she said something was wrong with dark skin. It's just black people trying to get on a high horse about shyt that doesn't matter.

Honestly man, I can see why people wanted to call Tiger out. I understand why people were upset with him for not wanting to be called black.....and it bothered me too, a little bit. And Especially after the huge interest black people took in golf after Tiger came out.

But maybe he just wanted to identify with the whole of who & what he is.

He never disassociated himself with being part-black....he just disassociated himsefl with being solely black. He always said he was Black/Asian/Caucasian.

As far as the racial jokes the white golfers made, I would hope that behind the scenes/off the record he wasnt as lackadaisical as he was on camera about the issue.
