The new hustle is to present Black entertainers as the Boss face of these brands, implying they own or control a large percentage when they’re really just the same old Black endorser. Jay Z was the originator of this with the Brooklyn Nets, tricking the people to vote in favor of gentrification.

They aren’t billionaires in the same sense as most billionaires. Jay Z, Kanye, Rihanna (allegedly, don’t believe she owns 50% of the revenue deriving from Fenty) don’t have access to liquid wealth like most billionaires.
If all of our black billionaires have to show for it is endorsing products then we don’t have black billionaires. White billionaires MAKE lanes. Black billionaires get to be in those lanes.

if you can be a black billionaire no one knows, then we can talk. Otherwise this is failure.

what this shows is that our black billionaires are essentially limited to market demand, consumer interest, casting directors, popular sentiment, middle of the road commentary that is in offensive and palatable, and everything else that does not rock the boat and make them toxic and politically unstable.

This is an EMPLOYEE move. This is not a boss move. At all.

It’s not just the hairstyle.

I do happen to be a big fan so I got the whole reference immediately.

you’re a fan of what?

The age old “HBCU pledge.” No one ever knows when it comes in and no one ever sees when it goes out. HBCUs were pledged more money than ever last year because of George Floyd and yet I haven’t seen any stories of kids receiving the money.

I’ve never met one student who received a corporate scholarship at an HBCU, so I’ll surely have my eyes open for the Tiffany’s black college scholarship fund
Google dummy

there’s no backlash
