spoken like a cheeto dash covered Beyonce fan.

its an Adidas brand. Period.

Who cares what she owns. Its like saying Lebron owns his sneakers. Those are NIKES.
No, it's not like saying LeBron owns his sneakers. She is the owner of Ivy Park. Lebron does not own a brand that has a deal with Nike. His is strictly an endorsement deal. Ivy Park is in a joint venture with Adidas. This is not rocket science. Hate her if you want but don't make yourself look dumb with the wrong facts.

Ivy Park isn't a thing. Its an Adidas brand with Beyonce's name on it.

yall are just so stuck on carrying her water that you'll accept anything she says.

It isn't a "thing"? How is that when it was a stand alone brand before the deal with adidas? You just making sh!t up now.
thats like saying the S Dot sneakers were a thing before reebok.

Oh, OK.

They still using white brands to elevate their shyt instead of building from the bottom.

Its a cheat code for them. They're just trying to cash out.

And what's wrong with partnerships with existing brands?

Ivy Park was not making indie moves

AT LEAST Rihanna tried to go the LVMH route with her own brand.

Again, I dont wanna hear about all this mogul shyt when you're doing essentially collaborations with larger companies pretending you had something independently anyways. Ivy Park and Beyonce are looking to make money. They're not making legit fashion brands.

Even when fashion brands collab, they're still INDEPENDENT BRANDS. They might collab on a release or limited edition product.

Beyonce's ivy park hasn't done anything independently of Adidas. They're pretending its a collab. Nope. Adidas owns that shyt.

this is all low brow shyt they're trying to pass off as some significant move being made. Its insulting.

Nobody is above critique and these two are overrated in a lot of aspects, but these lil micro-aggressions are extreme. A lot of it comes off nonsensical as hell. Beyonce and Jay Z shouldn’t conjure up so much bitterness and vitriol over a normal ad campaign. It’s weird in a way that y’all don’t express for anyone else.. and these ppl are considered modern day black icons. I’ll never understand that about this place.
The whole point is that they try to pass themselves off as modern day black icons, when in reality they are just sell outs :yeshrug:
The black power shyt is a marketing gimmick for them and people are seeing through that shyt. And Jay pretending to be Basquiat is just cringe. He's a grown ass 50 year old man role playing somebody else like a white teenager with an identity crisis. He's like the suburban kids who died their hair blond because they wanted to be eminem in the late 90's :mjlol:
