Overall good album but I like Renaissance more.

As someone who hasn’t been a fan of Beyoncé outside of Destiny’s Child, her first album and Lemonade, this is a great album. I doubt many albums will top it this year. It really does have elements of different black genres (country, blues, rap, R&B) yet it’s very cohesive and an easy listen even at 27 songs.

It’s objectively a good album.
Without looking at the track list there are plenty of standouts as R&B/Country (protector, 16 carriages, 2 Most Wanted, Black Bird) and Pop/Country (Levi’s, Jolene, Hands 2 Heaven)

Album is cool. The theme is a bit contrived and I don't see it really hitting in the mainstream like that, but there's definitely some good pop-country records on here. The 1st half is better than the 2nd.
it's a catchy pop song that sounds out of place on this album. Same with the Swizz beatz record, they put a skit talking about genres to brace you before that but there's not even a hint of country on that one.

While the album is definitely Country-inspired, Beyonce has been blending genres. She even stated that it is not Country, but a "Beyonce album". I'm assuming PLASTIC OFF THE SOFA, VIRGO'S GROOVE, CUFF IT, or even HEATED must sound out of place on Renaissance to you because it was marketed as a House/Dance albumAlbum is cool.
