Yeah, the story is they are playing their real names. This isn't a continuation of the OG show. But the story is they are getting together to reboot 90210. Basically art imitating life.So are they playing this like a semi reality show where they were actors on the og show or did I turn to it at the wrong time

I didn't mind it to be honest, as it was different. The opening scene actually fooled me, making you think they were continuing from the OG show. But then they pulled the okie dokie and I was in.
I like the satire referencing their real life ie Tori having her show cancelled and she's broke now. Leading to her wanting to do the reboot. Jason saying he hasn't really done much since. Lol

Yeah I totally expected a straight up reboot. I do think this may be the better route to go because now they can still give the reboot (through the storyline of them filming a rebootYeah, it was getting trashed on twitter

Most actually wanted a reboot, not some semi-reality show based on the original actors, but I think twitter turned around a little after the Luke tribute and began to accept what it was
) and at the same time poke fun/break the 4th wall from the stuff that occurred in real life/behind the scenes. All the stuff with Shannon, especially - I think they will provide some Grade-A fukkery.
