One Of The Last Real Ones To Do It
KONY is a urban crime version of Nosferatu the movie. Walken is a vampire, the gang is his monster underlings. It's very Hip Hop in that it blends genre's. It gave us the idea of how boss it was to tell someone theatening you "come downtown and I'll give you a job". Walken manipulates people. Biggie ran with that large than life mentality until it killed him.
Carlito's Way can be summarized in one sentence "a favor will kill you quicker than a bullet". It might have been the last movie Pacino didn't "overact" in. It gave us the idea that "the streets is watching" and the ongoing paranoia all smart criminals Deal with. Pacino outsmarts people. Jay ran with that cutthroat mentality until it made him a 100's Millionaire.
Both movies are worth a watch.

Larry and Christopher characters played a perfect balance between each other; Larry was hype while Christopher was quiet.

Carlito's Way is technically a better movie, but I enjoy KONY more. Walken's performance, Fishburne basically being the black Joker, Schooly D soundtrack, the quotables, movie is pure entertainment.

KONY is goofy and one-dimensional. It wastes a lot of good actors, and Wesley Snipes.
I would have said CW before but after rewatching them both b2b lately it might be KONY. Carlito had pacing issues fo me and that cheesy terrible romance and cheesy ass songs ruin it. Pacino didn't even try to sound latino.. the climax is incredible though

Carlito's Way is legit one of the greatest gangster movie of all-time and a certified masterpiece.
