The media likes to proclaim both of these teams as dynasties :mjpls:
But between these two teams which one do you think was the better group and had the better run?

Pistons: 1 Championship, 2 NBA Finals Appearances, 6 Eastern Conference Finals Appearances

Celtics: 1 Championship, 2 NBA Finals Appearances, 3 Eastern Conference Finals Appearances

Neither team is a dynasty and neither has been referenced as one. Pistons made to the ECF each year BTW so it's 6 rather than 4. I think the Celtics will 3 or 4 rings if they could have stayed healthy however based on what actually happened its the Pistons. They left at least 2 rings on the table purely because of hubris. :smh:

Celtics. East was stronger during their run IMO. But neither are a "dynasty". You need multiple titles at the very least.

hmmm...The Pistons had the better run, but that 07-08 Beantown>03-04 Pistons squad. As good as that 04 Pistons squad was, they ain't stopping KG, Pierce, & Allen still in there primes in 2008, no matter how good that 04 Pistons defense was. But, both squads are not dynasties though. But, I do feel like the C's did underachieved a bit though, and the Pistons overachieved imo.

Not to many teams beating that 04 Pistons team. You got Sheed at his peak and actually playing like it. Ben at his peak. Chauncey and Rip doing their thing and nice depth. I think people sleep on how good they were because they basically sleepwalked through that last 4 years. If anybody underachieved it was them. Boston just go fukked over by injuries. Due to those injuries no one had them going to the Finals in 2010 or making it to the ECF game 7 this year. Irony of course being that injuries were partially responsible for them making it that far this year.
