So sad we haven't seen rigo since he messed up that web programmer he picked out of the crowd in china. Asia loves them some Rigo why isn't he getting burn @SuikodenII ?
I don't think Rigo is better p4p than floyd or ward close though
Ward ain't no damn once in a lifetime talent
He would barely even standout in the Jones Jr./Toney/Liles/McClellan/Benn/Eubank era of Super Middles.
I think Ward is maybe a half-step above Reggie Johnson talent & skillwise.
our accomplishments say otherwise
These "accomplishments" came in a era where the likes Carl Froch & Mikkel Kessler act his chief rivals.
It takes once in a lifetime talent to get past Carl Froch & Mikkel Kessler, right?
Reggie Johnson & Steve Collins would walk thru everybody on Ward's resume....maybe an old Michael Nunn too
Take nothing away from Ward, he can't jump into a time machine and fight in a different era. He's done exactly what he's supposed to do, dominate his competition and leave no doubt who the best fighter in and around his division truly is. Lately we've seen fighters such as DeGale, Kovalev, Stevenson, and GGG emerge in and around his weight since he's been on promotional-injury reserve. And as it's said, out of sight, out of mind, people forget he was THE man before his hiatus. These "accomplishments" came in a era where the likes Carl Froch & Mikkel Kessler act his chief rivals.

#2 p4p
what can you do?
Nothing.
nikka...you act like i'm sayin' Ward being a Reggie Johnson caliber boxer is a knock against Ward.
Reggie Johnson was that nikka...even Willie D knew da sko....
"knocking nikkas out like Reggie Joooooooooohnson" - Willie D
He just sprung up in the wrong era...Reggie would look like a "once in a lifetime talent" in this era...and Ward wouldn't in his...
Rigoat is more entertaining than mayweather. He actually slugs it out alot, just doesnt get hit that often.
I can't give him that title to be honest. When dude is on, he's nice no doubt, but I've seen him get hit very clean a few times. Who's to say if those punches connect in a heavier division that they won't finish him.
I hate to get theoretical here, but there are cats who are really sharp today that fight in heavier divisions with the same style who have yet to taste canvas. However, I do think he may be the most skilled fighter today.
