He's on the front lines with my people like a 2019 Robert Kennedy :wow: That's being progressive to me

Does Beto seek to wield power or just want to preach unity, together, and meekness? He voted for good things like drug decriminalization but bad things like bank deregulation.

I was all for Beto's run for Senate, and would have been all for him running again for Senate in 2020.

For president though :francis:

I saw part of his announcement video this morning and I say part because it felt so cringe-worthy, I had to stop watching. I mean, not trying to hate on the guy, buy there's this weird, phony, trying too hard, kind of vibe I got; sounds like he was trying to be Obama or something. Idk. Maybe it's just me.

Also, I don't know what any of his policies are apart from maybe marijuana legalization.

That in part is the issue...

Warren, Bernie, Andrew Yang, Mayor Pete, even Kamala Harris are running on specific policies.

Yeah he is doing an Obama impression. lol But seriously post Trump 'politician speaking style' is dead. You need to speak plainly and more to the point in 2019. Talking in platitudes and being unspecific turns a lot of people off. I think that style is over.

He couldn’t win his own state (I know I know Texas). He should focus on getting to the Senate first. If the Dems put their faith in him we’re going to have Trump for another 4 years. He doesn’t even have a real platform. He keeps using empty platitudes about unity and bringing the country together. And he feels fake to me. Like there’s some plug in his ear whispering to him what to say. As if he watched the Obama campaign and wanted to mimic it but once the microphone is in his hand and he has to start speaking without a script he’s lost for words regarding what he’s really about. At least that’s my perception about him. At least Bernie, Warren and Kamala are clearly passionate about what they want to bring to the table. I felt the same way watching Castro at his speech. He talked for 30 minutes about absolutely nothing. I almost feel like he and Beto are running just to raise their profile and keep their names in the media. Neither of them have to worry about looking stupid if they lose because there are like 8 other people that’s going to be in the same boat.
