We think about improving. If you lose 20 lbs, but you need to lose 30 more, you feel like you're better than before.
But not really. Let's say you want a really beautiful, fit woman. She not looking at you for at least another 30 lbs. Plus. If she runs or something you'd have to be able to keep up with her.
So you play this little game in your head after you lose every 1 lb.
Or start making another $0.50 per hour
Or get some rims on a car that is worth less than the rims
So there's levels. Once you cross the 20 lb threshold new chicks will start scoping you. Not the fine ass chick you really like, but you've become 'acceptable' to more, better females.

If you wanna worry, worry about becoming as sharp as possible.
As far as women. You can reach out and fukc *somebody* tomorrow. On the most ridiculous level you can find a crackhead and give her $20. But on a more reasonable level .. the fat girl at work, the older lady from the gym, internet 'dating'.
So shop in the bargain section until you find a real gem. Cheap enough, but fly enough.
You're keeping an eye out for a woman that's checking for you. It's subtle but when you see it you have to go in (flip the hair, stare, touch you somehow as she walks by).
As you improve, your options will improve.
Here's where the stressing and the delusion fukcs you up. You smell like it when you simp and fold and embarass yourself begging and shyt. So if you have self respect and are mature and honest with yourself you smell like that, too.
To sum it up
Swallow your feelings about how you wish you were living. If the woman you really like don't seem interested, man up and step off and don't play yourself. If you become a dude that's totally comfy with himself and you'll cone off as chill when people meet you. Women love that.
And you will be confident in saying: if you not what *I* want then fukc it
