Far as people wanting the old stuff back, I think a lot of people of today have just grown disillusioned and disenchanted with today's time.

Unfortunately, since the early days, post 9/11, of the 2000s these years have just been in a downward spiral in so many different ways for so many different people.

Lots of folks have lost hope and joy and feel like there is nothing to look forward to anymore in regards to the future. So, people reminiscint about the so-called great 90s and are craving those days back because it reminds them of all the magic that happened and they want it back.

It's like chasing that first high or wanting to experience that romance again from that person you let get away.

For me personally, while I enjoyed that time and have great memories, I look forward to the future but, that's a different discussion for a different day.

When some of the old Nickelodeon shows were brought back on t.v., didn't the ratings become stagnant or tank after airing the old shows for a bit?

Nostalgia has always a thing.
And thinking that the future will always be brighter is just as ridiculous an idea as the romanticism of the past.

I don't think it would be successful. Uncut first made its debut before youtube and social media. Nowadays you can see the same thing or even more explicit stuff on youtube and worldstar.

Comic view was the shyt back in the day! I was PISSED when they took it off the air. The ironic thing about BET now is the things people complained about back in the day we now want back (comicview, rap city, uncut, music videos).

That's because back during that era, there was no 'Black Lives Matter" to get those Black feminists attention, so they had to make shyt up to get mad about. This video and "Uncut" was just some random shyt for Black feminists to grandstand about. It was always bullshyt.

Same thing with BET's rap videos. Them pastors and feminists were just looking for an opportunity to hate on Hip-Hop.

Now, they've moved on and all the people who liked that shyt (most of us) can hopefully go back to enjoying what we enjoy without having those asshoes fukk it up
