I got you, I just wanted that to be clear. I keep hearing people saying "reparations or nothing!" i'm like :patrice:there are alot of other things we want too. i'd support a candidate who ran on a platform of police reform for example. I can't take the money with me if cacs are still allowed to murder me with impunity.

I understand your POV but I slightly disagree. IMO, reparations would get us closer to police reform compared to police reform getting us closer to reparations. For example, Obama’s police body cams could be viewed under the umbrella of police reform. But the result of this was just black people being murdered on camera. We need a multitude of initiatives to address the ills of North American slavery, but the key driver, and strongest driver, IMO is still reparations.

The two aren't mutually exclusive but I understand how bad y'all want that to be the case.

This is a good thread so Imma let you make it, cuz Lord knows if we REALLY started talking what's distracting from the reparations convo....well, you know the gif by now :ehh: Shoutouts to Robert Johnson on this one

Pan Africanism is not beneficial to ADOS in any way. We want what was stolen from us after reconstruction and through Jim Crow.

I guess if you want to simplify it to that sure :yeshrug:

I guess I want to see long term measures to ensure upward mobility for generations, free college, housing subsidies, business grants, home ownership qualifications and lending changes, etc.

Not opposed to lump sums of money, but the argument that “lump sums of money is a strain on the government” as a deterrent to reparations means that we might have to think differently.

But if you just wanted a dap for being funny, I got you breh :myman:
idk why yall insist on trying to be safe and put your reparations in white people's control
anything's gonna be a "strain" to them if its not something they want to give you.

just saying, free uber rides and college isnt how other reparations worked. and we're damn sure not going for less than what others got

no its just that one actually makes practical sense which is why its being talked about and the others just ramblings on the internet.

you should be thanking ados that you have a tangible thing to talk about now. theres a reason 90% of your posting isnt about pan africanism

you can call it safe, I call it feasible.

there’s no beef with me :yeshrug: but I don’t ever expect the government of the United States to EVER do what’s right by black people. What would be right would be cash and a ton of land. I don’t see it happening in my lifetime.

They would ensure our generation and future generations of ADOS become completely absolved from any & all kinds of taxes before they would give us money.

About 370 thousand per person

Don’t really know if that’s good or bad. I’d prefer free access to schools, housing subsidies, free transportation, and money specifically set aside for black home ownership and business development... but good for him for speaking up :salute:

:wow:This man gets it. Throw in loan forgiveness and premium health care and we even Steven :yeshrug:.

Funny how I was just thinking about this

$6.4 trillion + pain and suffering (how much?) + interest (what rate?)

Free education for all FBA/ADOS would definitely be possible and a symbolic statement considering they killed slaves for learning.

Certainly better home loan deals to symbolize the 40 acres we never got.

the internet
man listen...
...people dont know how broke this country is.

I cant even go into it...but there aint no money.
They printing it (out of thin air) right now so the markets dont freak out...
...but this shyt will cause massive deflation, and then inflation.

We are at risk of the US Dollar not being the world standard if China, Russia, and the Saudi's start plotting and scheming.
