And black men view black girls the same way white supremacists view black girls.
You are part of the problem.

We need black men and women to come together to solve our problems and not black men vs black women crap that you spew.

What exactly is "abuse"?? How does one define it? What about sexual experimentation between young children? How does one legislate that?? Why do so many countries in Europe with ages of consent as low as 14 still report far less incidences of sexual crime than ones here? And you cant use the "its not reported" excuse because, in actual fact, many of those said countries have far heathier approaches to sex and sexual communication than our anglicized ones do.

As an African I am fast beginning to think anglicized western ideas of both civility and sexuality do damage to black people...and ultimately western thinking destroys black people in general. Hence why I seem to find that such large swathes of blacks 2/3 generations deep in the west are an absolute mess. Poor, uneducated, diseased, imprisoned. The western world may simply be incompatible with our approaches to both spirituality, family and identity.
I really don't care what European countries are reporting. In the US if we have a problem in our community with sexual abuse (black men aren't the sole perpetrators here). Then we need to address it.

We need to stop Juelz Santana GIF'in around this issue.

We gotta have empathy and compassion for Black Females.
Having empathy and compassion doesn't mean that you go along with every piece of propaganda that you see. Where's your empathy and compassion for black males?

It's not being addressed with bullshyt gender biased divisive articles like this. Articles like this simply use the issue to perpetuate division.

If you wanted to broach the topic of sexual abuse in the Black community there are better and more honest ways to do this. Instead of passive-aggressively posting a pretty half-assed statistical survey.

They want to have a discussion so let's discuss it, but you right based on the OPs history on why this thread was made.
I know that BM are not the sole perpetrators and that the boys are being abused as well.

I'll put it this way, we have a lot of molestation that's swept under the rug. This isn't about Black men vs Black women. What this is about is our little kids are becoming confused. That's what I get from it.

Not saying black women aren't sexually abused. However, the percentage is extremely high and implausible. I don't really want to argue semantics but sexual harassment and sexual abuse are two different things.

If the percentage put across had been about 'sexual harassment', I wouldn't argue it because it's very plausible. However, agreeing that 60% of black of black women were sexually abused by age 18 means 60% of black women are mentally/emotionally/psychologically damaged because the effects of sex abuse tend to live with the victims for a lifetime. So, this narrative also make black women look bad. Say we accept that 60% of black women were molested by age 18 and perhaps 70-80% by age 21 (based on the percentile): are we also saying that 80% of black women are mentally/emotionally/psychologically damaged and undesirable?

C'mon, there's always an agenda about these types of ridiculous stats. It's like every other month, there's a big white male celebrity accused of child molestation (these sex deviants are never even prosecuted), shouldn't they be doing a survey on the extent of child molestation in the white community since it seems every other white man is a child molester? However, it's always about a script on how to further demonize black men, from creating a narrative of how black men are violent criminals and all sorts, to a new narrative of sex predators. It's just tiring/boring now and people need to start speaking up.

There's a reason why Pac's quote is on my profile because it tells a story of what being a black man is like in 2017. It's like a prison, with too many red lines around you. You've been so emasculated that even black men are now calling people 'ashy' and acting like females in mannerisms, speech pattern, mentality, etc. You can't even have a preference as a black man and everything has to be dictated to you, thus making every choice you make and opinion you've PC. And now this?

The percentage is too high and it doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Yes, there's a problem that needs to be addressed but pulling out stats from your ass, to fit a demonic narrative, is part of an agenda - not a way to find solution to the problem.

Is there an actual study that measures the issue, or are people still talking about the trash one posted in the OP?

It might actually be even higher than that.....It ranges from rape, to molestation, to sexual harassment.....It's more prevalent then we think.....But, I see where this thread is going so I'll exit now...
Well remmeber the majority of this board is white, but it is true....the #s could be higher. I know so many women who have been raped, molested and sexually abused as kids, teens I was :gucci: This is even more prevelant in the poorer areas....thats why I am on my daughter like a hawk :mjcry:

60% just seems too high. We'd have to know the definition of "abuse" here.

Is getting your butt grabbed a house party "sexual abuse"?

Regardless of what the true number is, it is a problem. I think we all know that.

But the only solution I know of is to bring it to light after it happens, and don't do stupid stuff like leave grown men (family or not) around your daughters.

I feel like this an issue that people just want others to recognize that it's a problem and to speak out against, but ultimately nothing is going to change.

They don't want to have a discussion tho. They just want vilify black men. That's the point and I'm not even talking about the OP. I'm talking about the person/people who wrote the article, the people who run BET.com, and the people responsible for doing the "study". They're all in on the divide and conquer agenda. It's not really about sexual abuse.

How would you even show empathy and compassion outside of a debate on this issue?

Let's agree that rape/molestation of young black women is an issue. As a young professional black man that doesn't live in the hood, what can/would you do about it?
