Liger. He knew when to retire in a dignified manner.

At this point, Minoru Suzuki is the guy Taker thinks he is - a legit tough veteran who can still go when called upon, and won't embarass himself in doing it. He's even managed to do ridiculous DDT matches and still keep his aura.

Whoever called his fall-off after the match with Punk is dead right. Dude has been stealing Vince's money for nearly a decade now :mjlol:

yeah well the point remains

Liger is dope, dude has had classics and a great career but this is Taker we talmbout

dude's streak was the the most interesting part of Mania for multiple years

there wouldn't be a HIAC without him

there wouldn't be a Kane without him

Austin and Rock may not have been as over as they were without him heeling it up

Liger has had a long career too but better than Taker :mindblown:

i don't care how :flabbynsick: he is in 2020, the man got one of the most storied careers in the whole history of the bidness

Austin and Rock did not need his hobbling bytch ass during the Attitude era. Some of Austin's worst shyt was with Taker. If anything Taker cooled him down.

You might as well make this thread Liger vs whoever came up with the Undertaker gimmick. Because that's what Taker is, 99% gimmick. It's not like Mark Calloway could've jumped to WCW and been a success. No one gives a shyt about Mark Calloway. They just want that gimmick.

Liger could've been over anywhere (apart from WWF with Cokeboy's bullshyt). And was over in the US, and played a major role in smaller wrestlers being taken more seriously in the US. There's no crusierweight division in WCW without Liger.

Not many other big men I enjoyed more than Taker.

There’s plenty of CWs/masked dudes I enjoyed more than Liger :manny:

I’ve seen a lot more Taker matches than Liger, but I’ll rectify that eventually. That said, I remember Liger going back to the 90s...even the pre-Nitro days, unless I’m off with my timeline y’all tell me.

Liger’s a bigger deal internationally outside of that WWE bubble that helped make Taker as big a deal as he is. Plus just an overall better wrestler. Giving L the W here.
