Probably woulda been more comparable of a matchup though, since 80% of what people love about HBK is his 'character' and then a handful of matches considered classics, not a long body of consistent work. Plus they both had that egomaniacal energy to them.dudes was saying we should've did Punk vs HBK and he can't even beat Scott Hall
Punk still probably woulda lost that one, but it woulda made sense.

Here’s the thing for me with Punk and why I’m gonna vote for Hall. Outside of Razor just having an innate cool factor to him Punk couldn’t reach, I don’t think Punk’s legacy has really held up. Yeah he’s inspired or paved the way for others since, but in talking about his career, his post WWE career has soured me on him so much I retroactively think less of him because of it. He just comes off as a fugazi tough guy with a loudmouth, I can’t really rock with that 
and at a point in time he was my favorite wrassler, but it’s become a case of top 10 to not even mentioned at all

If there is one thing I'll give Punk, the Pipe Bomb + MITB 2011 match against Cena is probably an all-time moment in wrestling, imo. Probably the most legit buzz WWE has gotten and it's something no one will be able to take away, downplay the importance, etc.
