Do you truly NOT believe that an upset customer can walk into a store, bytch & complain to a store manager until they get their way?

not in no Corporate owned store. I worked for at&t COR for 3 years and a third party retailer for 2 years and we NEVER ever gave in to customer confrontations by terminating contracts cause they were "tired" of it, and I worked directly for the owner of usa wireless in Miami, and they never authorized things like that.

only people that had the authority for that was Customer Service and even then, they still got charged the termination fees for the remainder of their contracts. Depending on how long they signed the contract sometimes they even got charged the full retail of the phone/device because of fraud violations.

customers could do whatever they wanted, bytch, moan, whine and complain, as soon as it got outta hand, the manager would call 5-0 to dead the irate situation.

different experiences man. I have worked at different at&t COR stores & floated at many others. I agree that it should not be done, but not all managers are by the book & go by policy.

The pushover manager is the worst manager to work for because they don't have your back. If you tell the customer it's something we can't do, they demand a manager, this nikka would come out like superman & save the day & find some justification for it. fukking up our surveys. Just because YOU haven't experience it, doesn't mean it can't be done. A manager can easily cancel service with no termination fee, & notate why they did it.

No Manager in history would ever put in the comment section of a customer page that "contract was canceled before 2-year term was up because customer cried and pleaded in the store"

and if a manager ever did that, he'd be unemployed by the end of his shift. trust and believe.

they can maybe makeup some bullshyt to justify the cancellation but this is what we're talking about in this thread about wanting to cancel the contract for no justifiable reason. :manny:

Of course they wouldn't, they would just make up a bs reason

I dont know how long it's been since you have worked at a COR store, but the reality is a store manager can bend on nearly anything. Especially with the company's huge push on WTR.
