More like "Brands you should avoid at all costs"

Even if, for some stupid reason, you don't have a Panasonic Plasma, at least get a Sony LCD.
Probably don't wanna be gaming on a Plasma especially the better ones that Panasonic made because the lag on those is decent at best to horrible.

People playing exclusively on consoles can get by with just 720p...buy a TV when 4K becomes affordable.

That will probably be next gen.

the smaller u play on the better

your eyes dont have to scale across a wide panel

u can react so much faster

:ohhh: That makes sense, I didn't know that. Small screen size only benefits FPS games or is it better for all types? I barely play FPS.

Small tv's or computer monitors are the best for fps games and all games in general....because they have less input lag than those big ass Tvs. Even if you play in game mode it still doesn't come close to the responsiveness of playing with a 22 inch monitor for example. Playing 2k14 on 42 or 60 inch feels a lot different than when I play on my monitor. You can get a nice monitor in the 22"-28" range that has a great picture and is super responsive. The bigger joints over 40 n shyt are great for movies and games where response time aren't crucial and they look pretty, but I prefer to do my competitive gaming on my monitor.

Input lag doesn't really come into effect until you get into tvs over 47in or use dlp, plasma, or projector

Oh, ok. I didn't like playing at my computer station so as soon as I bought a TV I switched to gaming on that instead. For some reason I feel more comfortable sitting on the edge of my bed in front of the TV to game :heh:

Vizio E500i-A1
Vizio really got it right with the E500i-A1 model. This 50-inch HD LED television is one of the most energy efficient LED TVs on the market. It has automatic brightness sensors that adjust the screen's luminosity to your room's lighting. With a crisp SRS Studio Sound system, you also find yourself completely immersed in the game.

Samsung UN46H7150
Although the Samsung UN46H7150 Smart TV sets your wallet back quite a bit, you are definitely getting an experience that is worth the money. Not only does this TV have 4 HDMI inputs for all your systems, but you can even take advantage of the built-in 3D technology. The 46-inch LED screen is one of the sharpest and most beautiful screens on the market.

Toshiba 50L2300U
When compared to other screens of the same size, the Toshiba 50L2300U definitely gives you bang for your buck. The 50-inch LED screen presents all your games in crystal clear HD. Not only can you enjoy your video games, but it is also the perfect television to use for all your home theater needs or as a second monitor for your computer. The slim design by Toshiba allows you to game in the tightest of corners.

LG 47LA6200
Smart TVs seem to be all the rage for gamers these days, and hopefully the TVs will not grow smarter than the gamers. The LG 47LA6200 is a 47-inch TV with high-definition quality and 3D playback technology. The TruMotion 120Hz technology makes it the perfect television system for all your favorite movies, apps, games, and more.

LG 42LN5300
The LG 42LN5300 system is one of the more affordable options on the gaming market right now. The 42-inch screen presents video in 1080p high-definition quality. Although this TV is not a smart television, it does feature Smart Energy Saving technologies so you can conserve money and energy while gaming. Maybe the money you save on your power bill can expand your gaming collection.

That's odd, because its a FACT the best TV's for gaming are smaller TV's.
The "american" in you wants to have the biggest most shiniest TV on the market.
But go to say an Arcade. Would you game on a screen 80in? Of course not
My friend has a 85in display in his living room via projector. Most of the angles are not ideal, its a fukkin pain honestly
Its not good for your eyes either. So by default your thread is false :manny:

Me, I have the Sony Playstation 3DTV that uninformed people tried to hate on.
I only used it for my 360, but recently I been using my XB1 on it and its made a HUGE difference :leon:
Its 240hz, is only 24in in size tho (bedroom right next to my head pretty much)
And the colors POP. I've noticed the difference in Battlefield 4 and Max and the Curse of the brotherhood
The game has a 3D look it now because of the improved hz
I got a 1080p 47in in the living room, but it doesn't compare to the little TV imo

I was ready to drop $600 for a TV but since I'm going monitor Ima ask the best for $300.
The PlayStation 3DTV is 24in and WAS $150 with MotorStorm Apocalypse a couple of years ago
Not sure what it would run for now, but that is one option

Otherwise, HHGregg be having sales on monitors if you can't find something immediately online
