I have an early version of the 930SPX and it’s very finicky about ammo. Runs decent on high pressure cartridges but something like bird shot or something even slightly lower pressure where you don’t want to cause too much damage and it’ll guarantee to jam. It’s getting traded for an FNH SLP MK1 eventually

I remember they used to only sell like 5 per pkg maybe even a 10rd package. A lot of the rounds would misfire. I mean if it didn't the target is dead but it was 2/5 or 4/10. Most traditional shotguns hold 5 and 2/3 failing? I'm good on that.

I think OP just wants the basic simplicity of a shogun for fun/home defense. I feel that a shotty is a great place to start. He’ll probably work himself up to an AR soon enough.

I think he might even have a better foundation for firearms starting with a shotgun vs a handgun or rifle/carbine.

Home defense all the way. I really ain’t the type to even be looking for weapon. I’m a cool dude but we the ones that get shyt from some thinking we can’t give em what they asking. My hands good but Events popped up here lately. Gotta stay ready so I don’t have to get ready.

Nga 000 and slugs easily going through walls also, AR15 is bad for home defense because you actually have to aim it to hit someone even in cqb. Shotgun at 2am is a burglars nightmare.

I was under the impression that Rifles generally had less wall penetration.
