Exactly. I don't really like litmus tests, but if a supposed Hip Hop fan doesn't like this video or any video similar to this, or even have the slightest interest in watching it, I question why the hell they call themselves a Hip Hop fan. They are a fake one to me IMO
i'm a geek for this shyt in the sense that naturally listen and get it. after listening to so much rap thats just how it goes for a lot of ppl. you dont need to know all this technical shyt in order to be able to do it either.Damn shame this thread doesn't have more views.

I take it in but breaking it down is not necessary. i dont like how theyre explaining and breaking the shyt down to be frank.
maybe its the thread title thats pissing me off. while many of the rappers mentioned are goats its just rubbing me the wrong way and it doesnt help that its white folks doing it lol. Biggie is a goat....of course...but to act like Hypnotize was pushing the envelope (as sick as it is) from a technical standpoint in 96-97 is futile when nikkas like Kingpin Skinny Pimp, Lord Infamous and Gangsta Blac were flowing effortlessly on shyt like this:
shyt...the 3:45 mark onwards
And that's just from one City. if you're gonna make a video like this then dig deep . Not fake deep like MF...real deep. And dont half ass it with 12 mins. This shyt deserves an hour. I'd like to see a similar vid for beat making.

I wish more of US was interested in this aspect of rap.
Cats have said here that they could care less about the technical aspect of rapping and that its more of a "white" thing especially when Eminem is brought up
they go hand in hand. Multisyllabic rhyming is pointless if the flow doesnt deliver it well. That's why MFDoom doesnt impress me no offense.
I mean listen to the memphis shyt i posted and then the mf doom. It's pale in comparison. Really listen lol
