Worst year in rap history as far as releases and the twenty year anniversary of 1993.
Where the industry tried and still tries to recreate the prison industrial complex content from that era as a purposeful science.
It was no greatest rapper that year at all and one of the first skill deficient years in rap and as a period moving forward also.

GKMC was still in heavy rotation
Nipsey, Tyler , Tyga , YG and Game Jesus Piece (December of 2012) all was in heavy rotaion with their cuts
Wayne's last year of real relevancy
Tity Boi dropped a solid sophomore album
Summer of 13 had Jay , Yeezy , Cole, Wale, Ferg, Juicy J, Mac Miller all drop albums no matter how those albums were , it's always good to get music from the big artist in the summer

What was so great about 2013 then?

Go look @ my post regarding 2013 to Ant Barr , 2013 wasn't the golden age but there was nothing bad with it and there was constant music dropping
