Best rapper? Nah, he couldn't win an award or accolades for being the best rapper/lyricist
I take it as another avenue to brag about. Dudes claim to be Rap Gods now so
He will go down as an excellent musician and artist though.
Issue is, most of these now famous rappers have or have had writers. It's now one of those accepted not accepted things in the industry.
All people care about is, the music good? Can I turn up? Cool.

or does best rapper extend to beyond lyricism? it's an interesting debate point. Kanye certainly had the MVP appeal for 2010 and released what many considered to be his magnum opus ahead of the likes of College Dropout and Late Registration.
as for the ghost/assistant writers, innocent till proven guilty. We know the deal with Drake and Kanye. So that's certified. But if it is rumoured and nothing to back it up, I wouldn't assume.
but yeah the beauty of this poll is that the MVP means something different to each voter, so you aren't wrong and I'm not criticising your choice. Just trying to understand your personal approach.
I hear you, no one wants to hear that their favorite doesn't speak from the heart. But some take a collaboration to means they wrote a lot of the album.

Big Boi released one of the albums of the decade thus far, and Nas released what was a decent album even in his not elite discography, and shared half the responsibilities with Damian Marley and was actually outshone for a lot of it.
