Objectively he was never in talks for best emcee any year. He had hits though.
Same with Nelly.

They still deserve to be on the poll

They were huge in those years you can't talk about 2000 without them and it's not like they were terrible MC's.

Personally, while it produced no classic albums that Ja Rule/Fabolous era of rap/R&B singles produced classic music.

it depends what factors you take into consideration breh

album quality comes first for me and Supreme Clientele is quite a bit ahead of the field I had no option....not to mention Ghost's contributions to The W

Common's album is second but he didn't make as big a splash nor was his album as influential as Ghost's, although it was influential in its own right.

Eminem had the biggest impact but his album wasn't on that level. He'd be 2nd for me though.
