It's a shame that some of these years have 3-4 or even more rappers that aren't the MVP but would still win other years if they were in it
Maybe we should do some kind of voting to find the most underrated albums or something for each year. I don't really know if it'd work because the winner wouldn't really be underrated since everyone voted for them lol.

I'm taking a break from this thing breh....I still run the whole coliclassics series I gotta get back to that
but the weighting system that comes in after the conclusion of these threads will benefit consistent high place finishers even if they never snagged even one MVP, considering that the more competitive years are credited with greater value

After careful consideration Cube is the choice. There are lots of worthy contenders this year though.

could you illuminate something for me about album sales?
I'm looking at Cube's AMW. Said it went plat after 2 months post-release. So how now when I check RIAA certifications is it STILL 1x platinum? Surely between then and now it would have gone at least 3+x plat? do they stop counting? do sales drastically drop off in the long term?
same thing with Death Certificate when I was looking. That went platinum even quicker I think and it still says 1x. Only multi-plat for Cube is The Predator at 2x.

Just my personal opinion. I'm not into that boom-bap Bomb Squad stuff
Bomb Squad wasn't Boom Bap. Not to me anyway, some of their ish had more of a rock/metal edge.

yeah and the sample loop timings were different to a typical boom bap beat with constant pace changes and adjustments
