What exactly did you find wrong with the performance itself besides the fact he doesn't look like Nixon? The mannerisms, the speech, etc. were all done correctly

There is nothing Nixon about his performance, Pauly Shore could've done a better job. In acting/stand-up circles it's called "doing a Hopkins" when they see/hear a bad Nixon impersonations. He's a great actor but this was so way off base.

We gonna have agree to disagree fam...I've watched countless Nixon footage and Hopkins captures Nixon very closely in many scenes, particularly the public scenes and not the crazy, shouting ones that Stone made up...
