Best movie trilogy of all time?

All these flicks suffered from Lethal weapon syndrome where the 2 were dope then the 1 was average

1. Back To The Future Nah p3 was too much of a dropoff from the previous 2
2. Die Hard P2 was too weak
3. Scream p3 had deviated too much from the tone of the original concept

While I wasnt as big of a fan of the bourne/LOTR series as I was of DH the answer lies somewhere between alien, lotr and bourne (i guess)

These three to me are the holy trinity of trilogies in my opinion. The only trinity that could possibly usurp one of them MIGHT be Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy deciding on how DKR turns out.
