My mic collection is a SM7b, AT4040, AT4050, MXL67g(my first microphone)

you should be able to get a pretty good sound out of any of those, the MXL is the cheapest but it still got me where I needed to be on my first songs starting out.

first song I recorded my friend with on the MXL67g bout 2 years ago.

If you kno how to mix n got a good pre-amp. The mic really dont matter. A good mic to start off with would be SM7b tho.

:wtb: bruh this nikka tryna make a mixtape, not a commercial def jam record that millions of people will hear.

Breh he asked the best mic for recording.

A budget mic that I love is the Bluebird by Blue. Like 200$ nowadays. Could cop that and the RNP. FMR Audio RNP8380 Really Nice Preamp

You could also just get an SM57 or SM58 for 120$ for now just to get things going. Inexpensive dynamic mics that can work well for vocals.

The mic pre will make a big difference though. On a budget get the RNP for mic pre.
