What's your budget?

Lets just say Im willing to pay over 800 or 900 IF its certified at most but believe i get more paying less than that. Seen the reviews for some of these joints and paying a G and up doesnt guarantee anything especially when theres people talking about their tv/monitors breaking or dying in a month or after using 3 times. Ive seen reviews where the monitors/tv arent even that great. Im just looking for decent shyt that will last for awhile. I got a vizio from 2015 thats still functioning pretty well surprisingly and didnt pay more than 500. :yeshrug: not rushing really.

What size are you looking for tv or monitor? You want an high end tv/monitor like 4K, Oled?

For 799 this shyt will get you legs for days :whew: . Samsung always known for vibrant colors and the specs on this seems like up to your alley, since your budget is 8 to 9.

Me on the other hand, I would rock with this jawn:

Asus ROG Swift 27.

Slowly but surely becoming a Asus fanboy as I have the Tuf book and a 1080p monitor that's 144 hz. Not too crazy but gets the job done :ehh:

Between 27 to 34 inches. Can be either a tv or a monitor. High end too.

That g9 is too wide. 34 inch is the limit. Was wondering if the g8 was fine. The Asus looks tough.

The G8 is pretty legit. That 0.03 ms response time is easily a no brainer along with the 240 refresh rate and 4k Oled.

But on the real, I'm leaning to the ROG more since I'm kinda bias towards Asus products as they never gave me a hard time. Samsung is good and all, but when I was working for Best Buy, I had gripes about their products as the picture quality is too cartoonish for my taste. I was more of a LG/Asus type of breh when it came down to monitors.

No, I don't have that monitor. I have LG C1 OLED 48inch TV, which I love it so much. I bought it 3 years ago. LG C1 OLED have 2 HDMI 2.1 ports that support 120hz good for gaming. Play PS5/XSX on them so damn gorgeous :whoo: . No burn in issues for 3 years so far if you take care your oled good.

They have four 2.1 ports. In fact I can't think of any C series TVs past the CX that didn't have four 2.1 HDMI ports.

Don't slander my TV breh.

I do remember that the CX & C1 were 40gbps rather than 48gbps.

I guess my question would be whats the difference between a tv and a monitor.

Would i be able to watch fios tv on gaming monitor like Alienware or would i need a tv to do that? Could i do the same thing with a monitor like i would be able to do with a tv or more/less? Would the screen resolution be an issue on a monitor watching regular tv?
