Best film comedienne?

It's a common notion here that women aren't funny. So I'm interested to see who are the funniest women in film.

I got around to watching About Last Night recently and man was she good in that. She also got the best out of kevin hart. Very good pairing. Might watch some other movies I skipped off the strength of her being in them.

Kristen wiig is kind of funny. I dont want to sound like a jerk but women are not that funny.
Amy schumer and sarah silverman are starting to get roles now and i find them both to be annoying as fukk.
Even in seinfeld and freinds (two of my fav comedy series) the women were the least funny of all the characters

As of right now it's easily tina fey and Amy. Melissa McCarthy was funny in Spy but her British friend was funnier but of course I don't know her name. Maya Rudolph is slept on. So so slept on

Lily tomlin would be my pick for back in the day as she was hilarious on SNL and in movies. And funny on the west wing when they let her be funny. Whoopi too. Whoopi was funnier than a lot of guy comedians although I know that's blasphemy in these parts of caveman coli

Kristin wig is on the list too as is Kate McKinnon. Her Hilary impression kills me every damn time.

Maya Rudolph is so "not slept on" it's not even funny. She sucks. She wasn't even good in Idiocracy which is an all time classic movie. She's as hammy an actress as anyone on the planet.

Completely disagree with you breh. Like not even a little bit do I agree with you. Tina fey isn't funny? 30 Rock coming from her mind and writing most of the episodes and being the creative voice behind it doesn't count as funny? Julia Louie Dreyfus isn't funny?

Again we disagree. Shyt Chris rock's movie career outside of top 5 and cb4 is nothing special either. He's had moments in everything he's done comedy wise on film but only two of them are consistently funny. But he gets a pass? I'm using 30 Rock because that's the thing solely from her mind with her creative vision. Movies don't work the same way all the time and you're smart enough to know that breh. Sisters and mean girls are also from her mind and she's funny in both and they're both funny flicks on different levels.

i saw Bridesmaids bc people didn't shut the fukk up about it. Sisters looks god awful and I'm fans of both of their TV work. Baby Mama was fukkin terrible though.
