Broadway Joe Namath

Tom Brady never had a actual nickname of his own when he was an active professional athlete. He was called “the GOAT” only after his retirement from the nfl.
They called him the "Pharoah", in the lockerroom. Brady was being the called the GOAT, while active. Madden 18 was called "GOAT" edition, in honor of Brady.

The Last captain of a Maple Leafs championship squad was nicknamed « Chief » because of his hard work, leadership qualities and his Native American/First Nations ancestry on his mother’s side

George Edward "Chief" Armstrong is a former professional hockey player who played twenty-one professional seasons with the Toronto Maple Leafs. George Armstrong was captain of the Maple Leafs for eleven seasons, and holds the club record for longest service as team captain. Inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1975, Armstrong is a four-time Stanley Cup champion, winning the championship with the Maple Leafs in 1962, 1963, 1964, and 1967.

Bsbe Ruth
A good one. How anyone could forget George Herman « Babe » Ruth. The first superstar hitter in baseball ever.

Another great baseball player but who was minister of the defensive infield, Ozzie « the wizard of Oz » Smith on the competitive and successful 1980s St.Louis Cardinals.

Gordie Howe : His nickname was literally « Mr.Hockey »

A gordie Howe hat trick : when a hockey forward or defenseman scores one goal, gets one assist, and is involved in a fight during the same game.
