Solace isn't that great but its definitely not the worst. Man with the golden gun, moonraker, License to kill are all worse

Moore. Now granted, I'm not a big fan of Roger Moore and his Bond, so maybe Moonraker and Man with the Golden Gun are bad to be because of him but I also feel like as movies, and as Bond movies, those two are the pits. Diamonds are Forever ain't that great either.

I consider the moore movies, for the most part, the dark years of bond...
Spy Who Loved Me is dope, and I love For Your Eyes Only and even have a sweet spot for Live and Let Die but overall, I agree. Too campy, too cheesy, and lost every bit of character

only thing I hated about license to kill was wayne newton coming out of nowhere
I don't hate it I just don't think it's that good of a flick. Aside from Wayne Newton, I think the movie just isn't put together well. It's them trying to do 80s action flick but that doesn't work with Bond. I like the story, Bond going after revenge for his man and his man's wife, cool, but there is no style or flare with it because its done in a very 80s action flick way. And Timothy went too far in one direction with his portrayal as opposed to having the balance like he did in living daylights. Obviously its a serious movie so he shouldn't be laughing and joking but there should still be some moments of levity to it and there wasn't any. Outside of the main theme, the score sucked, the Bond girl wasn't that great at all and it just really seemed like a very nondescript movie

I do. But after an epic opening the movie just goes downhill after 30-40 mins. And that final showdown in the desert was wack.

Writer's strike really hurt that movie
