Running is good for stamina tho. When running a 8 min mile becomes easy and just a warm up, your workouts become easier and more efficient. It becomes more about the muscles rather than how much gas you have in the tank. A mile ain't even that much. I run 3 miles a day at least 4x a weekNo. Running does is a form of high intensity training. Lifting weights is a better way to stimulate muscle growth. In terms of cardio, walking is better.
I walk for 2-3 hours 5 days per week. Those long walks burn more fat than running just a mile. Also walking aides in recovery from weight training. Plus now that the weather is getting warmer you can do it outside getting much needed sunlight.
