Besides online militancy...what exactly are you doing in real life that helps black people?

If you're doing things that aren't detrimental to the community AKA the things you complain about

then your existence is enough charity for the community. :unimpressed:

I coached youth football from 08-15. Had to give it up after I had my daughter, but Im still around the program when I can be.

Besides mentoring young men, we did Christmas drives, back to school events for them, and whenever something would happen would team up and help folks out. Like clothes drives, food drives, etc. Single Moms coming home and finding their stuff sitting on the lawn due to an eviction, or an apt fire, etc. 5 levels of football, with about 5 coaches a piece, plus team Moms, and Cheer Coaches all pitching in to help a family/child out in a time of need. Its great.

Got some kids to travel around the country too.

I didn't make this particular trip, but we had kids 12U+ travel to Vegas for a tournament. Hell, I still haven't been to Vegas.

Even more, coaching ball keeps our youth off the street, via practice, games, team building events, and simple ish like hanging out at a coach house for the weekend.

That's probably my biggest contribution.

I try to get as many black people I know, or come in contact with to think more about lowering cost, saving, and investing. Just being more financially stable overall.

Last thing, I try to do, that I actually think goes a lil unnoticed, but helps out tremendously, is getting people to actually talk about their plans and goals in life. A Lot of folks have surface layer ideas that are really good that can lead to something with just a bit more thought and push behind it.

Those types of convos are great, because it not only get their brains flowing, it makes mine flow as well.

Pretty dope, one of our kids was 1 of the 32 kids that won tix to the SB.

I was just looking for him on the field, but couldn't identify him.

I'm dabble in teaching black kids STEM. On the equity team at work where I have tell people about themselves and what they're not gonna do in their quest for diversity.

I work as a driver for food companies/bakeries and I convinced a few companies to have weekly donation deliveries to homeless shelters between Milwaukee, Racine, Kenosha and Chicago. The shelters have mostly or all black people, sadly.

So many companies had "edible waste" which was perfectly fine food but the product came out too big, or too small, had a small burned crust or wasn't perfect-looking, so they would dispose of it. So I said let's donate a lot of it instead.

I stayed in a homeless shelter for a while after I got out of prison, and those food donations were like Christmas to a young breh.

I volunteered at a jail for a month, donating books for religious services, but they added a rule that no felon could return to the place. So I couldn't anymore.

I'd like to be a chemical dependency treatment counselor in the future, it's an unpaid internship but could lead to a job

I try to buy black as much as I can. Looking on webuyblack. Circulating the black dollar is one of the most important things we can do.
