I'm a Bernie voter myself, but white supremacy was the main reason Kamala lost, not policy :manny:

That's just the type of country it is. Obama was basically a fluke.

Or maybe Obama was just that exceptional that he was able to overcome racist elements? :yeshrug:

Maybe Kamala was just too mid to overcome that? And maybe a white male version of Kamala would have won? We won't ever know.

However I don't think that should be the conclusion of the Democratic party, that voters are just racist. If they are then you're fukked either way. But maybe there's a way you can get through to those voters that Obama was able to despite his skin, and that Hillary and Kamala couldn't get through to?

And if you're not smooth brained, you'll realize Bernie was calling for a wider conversation, not making a final conclusion. We'll see if the liberals listen, or draw closer to Cheney :mjlol:

US election 2024 live: Biden ‘arrogance’ to blame for Harris defeat, say Democrats

Democrat insiders have blamed “arrogant” Joe Biden for Kamala Harris’s election defeat, saying he set her up to fail by not dropping out of the race sooner.

“His legacy is in tatters,” said Jim Manley, a senior aide to former Democratic Senate majority leader Harry Reid. “The country is headed in a very dangerous direction and it’s due in part to his arrogance.”

“This is no time to pull punches or be concerned about anyone’s feelings,” Mr Manley told US news site Politico. “He and his staff have done an enormous amount of damage to this country.”

Mr Manley joined other influential Democrats criticising Mr Biden, who have said the party wasted months of campaigning when he held onto the presidential nomination too long.

Biden finally pulled out of the race in favour of the vice-president in late July.

“The truth of the matter is, Biden should have stepped aside earlier and let the party put together a longer game plan,” Democratic strategist Mark Longabaugh said.

Major Democrat donor and Wall Street investor Whitney Tilson told the Telegraph on Wednesday that the “stupidity and selfishness” of the US president had cost the party the election.

Obama was exceptionally charismatic, but he also came in at the right time.

Some people are too young to remember but Bush and the GOP were extremely unpopular at the time due to War in Iraq. Probably any Democrat would've won the general that year due to pure Bush hate.

Not to mention social media in 2008 wasn't what it is now. In 2024 Obama probably loses to Trump.

If he made the same mistakes as Kamala? Possibly. I still think he had greater appeal and as a better orator, could communicate to a greater extent.

I think we gotta keep in mind it's not just that Kamala lost. It's how bad she lost. It's how many people felt, "yeah I'm sitting this one out". It's how Jersey was closer to flipping to red, than Texas was flipping to blue. This was a horrendous beat down for Kamala and her lib cheerleaders. I'm not completely convinced that Obama by purely existing loses to Trump in this fashion.

13.5 million less people voted for her than Sleepy Joe. That is embarrassing. She wasn't charismatic enough to have the same people come out in flocks like they did for Biden. The people that came out for Joe Biden was incredible, he got 81.3 million votes in 2020. Kamala got around 68. Even Obama only got 65 but he dominated in the states that had the heavy electoral college votes.

doubt it. Obama played Chicago style politics and I think he'd bully the bully. I think we forget who he beat to get to the nomination. He beat both Biden AND Hilary to get there. McCain could've won off of age and experience but chose Sarah Palin, the worst possible woman, to be his VP.

I think in 2020, he'd beat the shyt out of Trump and we wouldn't need a 2024 because he'd be young enough and mentally fit to keep going to 2028.

Biden is too fukking old and shouldve kept his word on being a 1 term president. At least the Dems would run an actual primary and bring out a formidable candidate.

Kamala's career wouldn't be over because she can run again in 2032 and still win off her experience and maneuvering in Washington. Right now, it's over. Her career as a politician is done in January

Bernie's legacy will be looked at more favorably than Biden's. You centrist always lose in the end.
:wow:

On God :wow:

Biden won the presidency in 2020 (after the party fukked Bernie over in 2020), only to gift wrap it back to Trump in 2024 :wow:

That's his legacy. Not a top 5 president as our resident horse kicked idiot asserts :mjlol:
