U saying he can't hurt Hopkins like it's a fact
Not only have I not stated anything like a fact, I've not even voiced my opinion :heh:

Literally all I've said is Kovalev hurting Hopkins doesn't mean GGG can hurt Hopkins, and GGG hurting Kovalev doesn't mean GGG can hurt Hopkins. There's no reason or proof to think he could, legit the only way we'd find out is if they fought. GGG has never fought someone with a chin like Hop's before.

I actually think Hopkins has the tools to survive, if not make it a messy protracted fight. He is rangy, and loves to clinch up close. He's smart enough to avoid getting hit with bombs I think.

Ggg =\= kov

I am not hugely excited for the fight, just because Hopkin's isn't in his prime. What Hopkins is still doing is amazing, but he isn't the same fighter. Hopkins can still beat all C fighters, go over 50% vs. B fighters, and I think loses vs. most A fighters. Damn impressive for his age!

GGG doesn't have the one punch power that Kovalev has, so I think there would be a good chance the fight would go the distance. I also felt like Kovalev laid back and gave a lot of respect to Hopkins because of his legacy. I think Kovalev would have knocked Bernard out, but chose to let him go the distance. You could see in round 12 when Hopkins was clowning Kovalev, Kovalev turned it up and almost had Hopkins KD again.
I don't think GGG lets Hopkins get off easy like that and would go hard all fight.

Hopkins would love to fight inside vs. GGG though and that could cause his come forward offense to not be quite as effective and let Hopkins not take as much punishment. The way to fight Hopkins is from the outside and not get too close to him.
