The dude Mackie Shilstone that bulked him up to fight Ruiz told him not to go back down in weight because it would affect his immune system and take too much out of him. Roy had too many yes men in his corner back then so he did it and haven't been the same since. Every Roy fight since the weight drop is a shell of what RJJ used to be before pre Ruiz.
