yes they are. ton of DNA studies already done. you can look em up. plus its not hard to tell. just look at faces. in ethiopia alone you can find all gradations of the intermixing.
first you have the habesha tribes that are heavily mixed with non-African ancestry. most of em are probably 50% african. 50% non-African. hence alot of em have classic mulatto features. light brown skin. good hair. etc.
next you have tribes like the karrayu oromo. which are less heavily admixed than the habesha but still has some non-African ancestry. about 70% African. 30% non-African. classic oromo features than be seen below. darker skin. kinkier hair. less mulatto features.
and finally you have the omo valley tribes in the southwest of ethiopia. that have little to no admixture. and you can see what classical pure east african features look like before all the admixture.
