For 40 plus years, hip hop been about the urban element, the urban way of life and with that way of life comes the violence, some of it being exploited. Many unsung and aspiring rappers, crew members were killed within those 40 years. KRS-One was on that street shyt, even put guns on his album cover of his 1st album Criminal Minded, and he changed his ways after his right hand man, Scott La Rock was killed trying to break up a street fight. Hip hop and violence ALWAYS existed and it always took away those who were on the come up or should of blown up. We still do not know Big L's killers, and Benzino NOW saying it has gotten out of hand? You mean to tell me it wasn't out of hand when HE, HIMSELF, was shot at his own mother's funeral?
