All of Griselda negotiated solo deals that allow them to drop mixtapes while still having deals with majors.

It's the same thing that WSG did while he was signed to Shady. He was dropping all those HWH tapes to keep his name hot. Labels allow that because it's less money for them to spend on your promotion. It helps them and requires less of them.
