Was it rust? Or nerves? Did he just not give a shyt? We all should know better by now to react too much either negative or positive to the preseason, but he did look like bullshyt in the preseason.

I’m going to assume rust and a fear of being hit. It’s no other way around it he had a case of the drops. But has gotten over it.

Also could of been nerves if you drop one you drop two etc. and he needed some more tune to get back right.

I'd say it was rust -- even if you're catching passes in practice or field work to stay ready, that shyt isn't the same as doing it in-game, though the former can prepare for the latter -- and then he got too far into his head early on and started overthinking/showing nerves.

At some point in time, he got out of his own way and remembered he knew how to do this shyt.
