Not that I agree/disagree, but Simmons does create more of a matchup problem because of his size and skillset.

Simmons has been good but the Sixers defense without Embiid on the floor would have them in the lottery.

He's very athletic for his size. Measured among the top in the database on certain parameters. Wins and loses wise and if I had a choice of either or I'd take embiid as my franchise player.
They both have a confidence about them because no one is too good for them and both present different types of problems. I didn't think he was good until I watched how fast he played and his passing at that speed. His physical dominance too.
I've Just watched the mavs highlights and I was struck by how they are high effort team. And that lineup they had with embiid, Simmons, saric, Covington, bayless is a BIG lineup that can switch on anything. And switching they were.
Development wise I'd work on his mid range shots, shots from the elbows a la a John wall first. I think those are shots he'll get. Work on his D to be a rich mans Draymond green so he can expand his role. He can play small ball center too. Will be too fast for most of them and him playing small call center while being the pg presents the same problem magic and Draymond do at those roles. But unlike draymond simmons got plus size, speed and height. And offensively he scores more with his ability to get to the rim.

Nah...Embiid anchors the entire Defense while giving you 20+/10 a night and can hit anywhere on the floor...
Simmons has exceeded expectation and is a triple double waiting to happen every night....

I still think Embiid is the rare talent here but Simmons is looking like he has a high ceiling
