Sometimes when I drive through South Carolina, I stop at South of the Border and I don't even eat or buy anything. I don't even give a fukk about Ben Bernanke for real. I do think his monetary policy in the wake of the recession has been on point. But I mostly just
prop him to fukk with all the :sadpaul: stans, free marketeers, Jew-haters, and conspiracy theorists who post here. I thought about putting up an avatar of Bernanke in yarmulke as a pure move after I read a poster say he wants his head on a stake.

I forgot about this post. I've expressed my views on this before. I think Bernanke has done a good job of stopping the bleeding in the wake of the Great Recession. Using monetary policy as a means of stimulus: increasing the money supply and flooding world markets with dollars has worked to stabilize the economy and get it growing again. He rejected austerity and fear-mongering about inflation, and understood that the real threat was DEflation due to low demand, and I think that was very prescient.
It's true that the middle class and poor still have it bad, and the vast majority of gains have gone the rich, and unemployment is still high. That's why I think there should've more robust and continued fiscal stimulus. I'd like to see target infrastructure spending aimed at creating jobs. But unfortunately, Washington (mostly the Republicans) is broken. So the Fed has had to act monetarily in spite of that, and I think he's made the right moves with the range of what he can do.
